What Is NEET? (CBSE NEET Result 2017)

NEET 2017 is basically an entrance exam conducted in India f0r candidates who desire t0 study any graduate medical course (MBBS), dental courses (BDS) or postgraduate course (MD/MS) in private or government medical colleges in India. NEET (Undergraduate) f0r BDS and MBBS courses would be organized by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). NEET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

You can check the eligibility criteria which are mentioned below:

  • Nationality: You need t0 be Indian Resident. Non Resident Indians (NRI’s), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) & f0reign Nationals are eligible.
  • Aadhaar Card: Aadhaar card is mandatory f0r all candidates except belonging t0 Assam, J&K and Meghalaya state.
  • No. of Attempts – Candidates would be allowed only t0 attempt the NEET exam 3 times only. This is inclusive and applies t0 all category of students.
  • Age Limit:
    Minimum – You need t0 be a minimum of 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2017.
    Maximum – You should not be more than 25 years of age f0r general category and 30 years of age f0r reserved category.
  • Qualification: The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging t0 Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% f0r General candidates. Further, f0r persons f0r locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks f0r General-PH and 40% marks f0r SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Those who are appearing in Class XII examination in 2017 can also appear f0r the entrance test provisionally subject t0 their fulfilling the conditions later.

NEET 2017 Seat Quota Exam

Seat Reservation are offered t0 candidates applying f0r the 15% All India Quota Seats. Different percentage of seats is given t0 various categories such as Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, OBC and Physically Handicapped. Candiates can apply f0r admission through their respective category provided they meet the required criteria.
